Bobkin's paintings are strongly influenced by the perspective and empathy of ancient shamans, literally translated as 'he who knows.' As a painter, Bobkin taps into his primal knowledge until he becomes a seer. The shaman combines knowledge, intuition, and new observations from a direct connection with nature. You see and you are, you look and you understand, you show and you are understood, you animate and you are animated. Everything naturally belongs together. Everything is a part of us, and we are a part of the greater whole.
